Formula 1 -Buddh International Circuit

F1 is not just a sporting event, it involves big business. The Jaypee Greens Sports City complex where the track for the Formula 1 has been designed is alone built with a cost of around 40 billion dollars. The total cost incurred on constructing the track will leave Jaypee Group (the organizers for the event) with a loss of about 4 billion even if there is a full house on the day of the event but, the company is ready to incur the losses given the fact that the race is going to unprecedented experience and fame.

The Buddh International Circuit is designed by the experienced hands of Hermann Tilke (a German engineer and auto racer). The 5.137 km long track has been designed as one of the most challenging tracks in the world. The estimated lap time is that of one minute and twenty second. The track can seat up to 150000 spectators. The circuit has gained some unwanted publicity due to the local landowners claiming that it has been built at a place which was taken from them using "heavy hands."
